What happens to the current account balance after Trademe's new changes?
I currently have $97.07 in my Trade Me account credit. With the recent changes (no more success fees), I would like to know what will happen to this remaining credit.
From my understanding, Ping charges a 2.19% fee that is deducted directly from the buyer’s payment when a purchase is made, so it seems that I may no longer need to keep credit in my account.
How I can apply for a refund of my current account credit?

Hello bibohead. If you think you will not need it you have to contact Trade Me directly to transfer this back to your bank account. There is no way to do it yourself unfortunately. Perhaps there should be, now many people might have the same issue.
Don't forget that you can still add promotional extras that cost, and if you intend to list a vehicle or pet or other classified in the future, those still cost as well.

Kia Ora bibohead,
Yes! the Ping fee can be taken from a purchase sold item however the fee comes out of your TradeMe account once the sold Ping fee has been apportioned to your Trademe account to balance the deficit, if this is how the item was paid for, besides the Ping fee there are other Listing fees which come into play like Afterpay, adding a sub title, Reserve price, adding your own date/time, Listing in a second category, adding any of the optional features to promote your Listings like Gallery, Feature, Feature combo, Plus the applied Ping only applies to most Marketplace Listings, there are a few exceptions and other categories like vehicles, property, car parts & accessories don't have the mandatory Ping payment applied as a payment option like Callum has touched on and as advised you will have to contact a staff Member for any refund. - Cheers.
