How can I get Trade and Ping fee back?
First of all, it is hugely frustrating Trademe dont have any humans working there!! I am posting because a stupid bot couldnt get a heck of what I wanted!
I sold an item but soon it was cancelled by the buyer so I refunded. I was charged $5.33 plus ping. After the refund, my account balance remained minus $5.33 for reasons I wouldnt know. and when the next sale happened - that 5.33 was taken off my payment!!! Jeeezz, I have been charged twice! When I tried to contact Trademe there was no contact line at all! And a stupid bot came up and ruined my day!
Please advise how do I get my money back from Trademe?
Many thanks

When you issue a refund via Ping to a buyer, the Ping fee AND the success fee are automatically refunded at the same time. If you check through your Ping transactions and your main Account transactions and you are sure this has not happened, then you'll need to contact Trademe.
If you have auto transfer out on your Ping account to payment is made to your bank acc every day, then your balance can be zero, then the refund you gave the buyer puts your Ping acc negative. Next time you receive a Ping payment in your Ping acc it adds to the balance and obviously if it's negative to start with then the negative cancels out part of the positive balance. eg -5 + 20 = 15

Thanks Gary! But my question is, it was NOT sent out to my bank account. Within 15 minutes of the trade (around 1.30am), customer cancelled the trade and wanted money back so I refunded through Trademe. True they have returned $5.33 back to my account but since then my Ping a/c remained negative $5.33. And when the next trade happened they gobbled up 5.33 again, which means trademe owe me that amount because they did NOT send the sale proceeds to my ban account which usually happens after 3pm each day.
My issue is there is no way to contact them other than thru the bot which doesnt have a clue of my issue. How can I send a massage to a human at Trademe if there is one at all?
Cheers

Kia Ora greenwoodltd,
Sorry to read you've had a frustrating time with the Bot experience,
Whenever you end up looping around or going nowhere in the Bot type Talk to person in the bottom line to be transferred across to the staff messaging line. - All the Best.

I can't quite follow your logic there, but you contact Trademe via the bot and send them a message if/when the bot is no help. Choose start a new conversation, then Leave a message for the team, as below screenshot I just grabbed.
