Buyer wants a copy of my Drivers License with my photo on it LOL and my ph number and address
I'm not that stupid, he aint getting any of it. I have asked him to deposit the $ then I will give him my phone number.
I'm the seller and the item is one of my cars.
He's got one positive trade and has a negative as well.
How do I report him to Trade me?

Kia Ora nannabobanna,
Pleased to hear you're onto it Lol,
I take it your listing was a Pick up hence wanting to give your phone contact after payment is made otherwise there is no reason to pass this on.
To report the Member to TradeMe select the Blue speech Bubble Bottom Right of your screen and select the Text suggestion box 'Leave a message for the team' - Cheers.

What was the item nannabobanna?
If it was a vehicle it might make sense for those items to be requested. Private sellers sometimes request it. Most dealers always will. This allows the seller to complete the change of ownership.
In the past I have asked for proof of age on a few items. Spray paints, nitrous oxide creamers, restricted video games... Technically you are meant to be over 18 to have an account on here. But I do know younger teens will sometimes ignore that.
Otherwise yeah, nah. Big red flag.

Why don't you message that you may show upon in person and ensure that no copy is to be made, as per legislation?
We all have the right to know who we are interacting with and there's been many a scam, maybe they too have been caught up in a scam so exercising due diligence?
Not everyone is a scammer however it's how our personal information is been collected in so many places rather than in person face to face trust of each other.
It's like everyone is tarred with the same negative brush of not being trustworthy in recent years.
Time for balance of scales to return..kindness!

If it's a car then no, it might not be a scam. They might want the details for Change of ownership.
I'd ask them why they want your licence first. Obviously they are going to need your address and phone number to collect the vehicle, so there is nothing to worry about there?

To request a photo with driver licence from a Buyer I would not be giving them this detail under any circumstance, change of ownership is completed at point of vehicle exchange which is normally instigated by the Seller and Only on receiving funds paid in full, definitely not supplying change of ownership requirements to a Buyer prior. - Cheers.
