How to make a counter offer when original offer from buyer has expired

I received an offer from a buyer but I didn't see it before it expired. According to the TM help page, you can make a counter offer even on an expired listing. Does anyone know how to do this? I can't see an option on the app or desktop.

Gary-NZStocked Community SuperuserRuth, offers and counter offers can only be made before a listing closes. You can make counter offers after the original offer has closed though so maybe that was what confused you.

Thanks Gary - that's exactly the article I read and I'm still confused. My listing hasn't closed yet but the offer expired. That article says you can make a counter-offer even when the offer has expired and I can't see how to do it.

I don't know any more than what the help pages say sorry Ruth. Offers are only available to personal members and users of the mobile apps, not on the desktop systems, so that counts me out in both cases so I can't test it out unfortunately.

I am the same in not being given full instructions - I recommend you touch base with TM direct - also requesting their page is updated.
If you go through the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of this, or any, TM page yes you come to a drop down form which is used to email, however if you give the page a few seconds the 'Chat' bubble will come up in blue at the bottom right of the page.If you type your message in before hitting the 'Start Chat' this allows the operator to reply with an almost instant answer or for further info' ensuring the chat session is a swift experience.The 'Live Chat' manned hrs Monday - Friday are 8:am - 6:30pm & Saturday - Sunday 8:30am - 4:pm.- Cheers.0 -
