Blacklisted member buying an item.

I haven't heard of that being possible before radler3. Do you have good evidence of this?

I have heard of this happening before, 

Double Check your Blacklist to ensure the username spelling is correct and the same on both, a space either end of the username can be what makes the difference therefore you can try saving the username with an extra space at either end and then both ends, if the system accepts the space(s) you're onto it, if not - take screenshots of your Blacklist & the winning auction to send into TradeMe staff. As this has come up before it's important a fix is put in place to prevent this.

The steps for contacting TradeMe with your screenshots and listing number has changed slightly, you select the words 'Contact us' in fine print at the very Bottom of most TradeMe pages, including your Post, then the Blue speech icon which appears Bottom right of the screen - choose Leave a message and attach your screenshots through the paperclip icon. - Cheers.

Followed all the steps but what is the point of a blacklist when this occurs. There was a very good reason to blacklist this member & I was under the impression a blacklist protected other members from stalking, harassment etc.

The purpose of the Blacklist is to prevent Members from asking questions and bidding on our Listings therefore if the name you've blacklisted is the exact same as the Member whose won the Listing TradeMe need to ensure this is working for our safety coming forward. Blacklisted Members can still view our Listings and add them to their watchlist, it has always been this way. The ability to ask questions & win a Listing is a function that's broken in your found case which requires an urgent fix. - Cheers.
