Buyers do not pay success fees, it is the sellers that pay the fees, and sellers are not allowed to pass fees back onto the buyers,
What makes you think you are paying a success fee as a buyer?,

Hello possum231
You must be confused here. There is no success fee for buying something. Why do you think there is?
There was a brief trial a few months ago where buyers paid a small fee but that has ended now.

Kia Ora possum231,
When was this charge applied?
TradeMe ran a Service Fee experiment between 28 September 2025 to 11 October 2025 in which random Members were chosen - This experiment is now well passed therefore are you referring to an older purchase or new?
Where screenshots are helpful you can blank out your private & product purchased/cost info' leaving reference to the charge.

Sometimes buyers get confused because the seller replies to the "sold with reserve met" email they get from Trade Me.
This email shows the success fee, but, this is the fee the SELLER pays, not the buyer......
As above, we will need to wait for possum231 to come back with more information.
