Success Fees - Item not Sold, and I will Offer.
Hi. I have a quick question on a fixed price offer for an item which was listed with "no success fees". The auction has just finished. If I offer this item at a fixed price, will it attract fees, or be part of the original "no fees" offer? Contacting anyone is difficult to impossible. Any ideas?

It would normally specify in the email you received announcing the promotion and it's T & C, or you can check them out on the page below in the help pages which is also linked to from the email, to see what applies and what doesn't.
Success fee and listing promotional extra discount terms and conditions – Help - Trade Me

Thank you Gary. I had found that page, and tried to work my way through it, lots of legal like jargon. I have re-read it after your reply, and I am still no further ahead. I have left a message for TradeMe Support as well, so hopefully a simple Yes/No will ensue.

Section 2 is what you are looking for and it does mention the promotion applies to FPOs. I marked the section in bold.
2. Success Fee Discount:
A "Success Fee Discount" is where Trade Me offers to reduce the normal success fee applicable under Trade Me's fees page in relation to any specified item or items found in Trade Me's general items marketplace and includes (a) where Trade Me offers you the option to list an item with no success fee applying upon the item's sale; and (b) sales completed by Fixed Price Offer or Make an Offer.

Looks clear to me rolleiboy

Thank you Callum. So, your interpretation is that if I send the item back for a fixed price offer, it will also be subject to the "fee free" offer from TradeMe? I wish TradeMe would reply to this as I am still unsure. Certainly looks like this, and maybe it's just me being a bit careful.

Thank you to those who took the time to help me with this. Interestingly, two or three requests to TradeMe Support are still not answered. I figured I would make the Fixed Price Offer, and in doing so came across this on the applicable page (cut and pasted below). In the end I feel that they will charge a success fee, and accordingly didn't go ahead with the Fixed Price Offer. I will find some other way of selling this item. Thank you again.
"If the offer is accepted you will be charged a success fee. Making this offer represents a commitment to sell at the stated price. See the current terms and conditions."

Rollieboy, that page you reference is the std T & C page, so yes, unless there is a fee free promotion the success fee is charged.
It specifically mentions on the promotion page Callum and I posted and linked to, that under the promotions a success fee IS NOT charged for fixed price offers.

Hmmmm, well as much as I'd like to offer it at a fixed price, the fees will take all of the fun out of it. The page I went to (and cut and pasted from) was the direct page that appeared when I clicked on the expired listing "Make a Fixed price Offer".
I appreciate your help, but unless I hear it direct from TradeMe the safest option is simply to forget the idea.
Again, extremely grateful for your help and thoughts, all who replied.

Kia ora rolleiboy, Callum and Gary-NZStocked are correct, the promotion does cover fixed price offers, as it says in the Ts and Cs, so feel free to offer out your items!

rolleiboy, the help page on the site that you clicked on the FPO page is the std help page. Trademe don't dynamically change the pages and links depending on promotions etc as those promotions are only offered to some members, not all. The link in the email you received takes you to the specific page for the promotion offer in the email.
TM have now confirmed anyway, but hopefully the info helps for the future. All the best...

Thank you again, and also to Michelle. I'll do as you suggest and Fixed Price Offer it.
