Cant add shipping option to live listing with bids.
I listed an item for 6 days. I decided to add a combined items shipping amount. The closing day was greyed out closing after 7 days not 6 with a pop up message saying you can't change the duration on a listing that has bids. It was Trade Me that changed the duration, not me! This fault always happens when I edit a listing that is for less then 7 days. Trade Me always extends the duration to 7 days and I have to change it back. When there are bids on the listing, the duration is greyed out therefore unchangeable.

- Contact TM via Live Chat to add shipping option & change end date for you.
- Add shipping option to Seller comments, in the Q & A section. - your bidders & watch listers don't get notified but will see the comment when entering your auction. - Not ideal but a workaround in the interim.
Live Chat: Select Contact Us bottom of page, wait several seconds a 'Chat' bubble will come up in blue, bottom right of screen - the Chat is manned until 4pm today Friday 6 Jan 2023 & 8:30am - 4pm this Sat & Sun.

@ L The original listings was for less than 7 days and my attempt to add a combined postage option was the first edit attempted. Every item listed for less than 7 days results in the same problem when the seller edits the listing. Trade Me extends the length to 7 days by default and the seller has to change the duration. What gives Trade Me the right to change the duration of a sellers listing and the seller not being able to correct it? Whether or not bids have been placed has no relevance in this case. You're right that it has been going on for a long time. Time it got fixed!

Yes! however when a Live listing requires fields to be changed the CE operators have access rights permission to these fields to change so instant Live listing fix - Not long term solution - Cheers.
