No Offer option for 'Or Near Offer' listing
AnsweredHave listed a motorbike on TM with Or Near Offer selected when we listed it. But there's no option on the listing to Make An Offer, or Buy Now - like, no way to sell it on Trade Me! Only option is for buyers to email or phone us, which takes the sale away from Trade Me. Are we missing something? Is that the purpose? Would really prefer to sell with the security of TM!! here's the listing https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/motorbikes/motorbikes/scooters/listing/3906310811?qna=true&bof=ZI0xQV1k#qna&tm=email&et=201&mt=C3965C45-6B9D-401B-9EE0-D1C08DDD64A4

Hi Rose, sounds like you have listed as a classified rather than as an auction. Classified listings don’t have success or withdrawal fees but you pay a listing fee which is dependent on the expected sale price up front. Auctions you pay a smaller listing fee plus a fixed % success fee. You can't change from one to the other once you have started your listing but can change it on relist if it doesn't sell after the first list, however you would need to pay fees again.
It's all on the Motors fees page.

Yes, when listing you selected the option on the left, when by the sounds of you wanted the one on the right. It isn't that clear is it? You get quite a few on here saying they chose the wrong one. I suspect most get enticed by that "$9.99" and decide that's the one for them without really understanding the differences.

Bugger, yes now I see what we've done...and it clearly states Buyers Negotiate Directly. Doh. Guess we'll just need to let it run and see what happens, and, re-list it as an auction next time if it doesn't sell! - thanks for your help TM Community !!
