Verification process question and problem
AnsweredHi, I have just listed a car for sale, and I have received an email saying I have a question to answer that says 'You need to complete the verification process; otherwise, your account will be suspended within 24 hours'.
There is a 'Please copy and paste the following link into your browser to proceed ...' link but the link doesn't go anywhere. I have checked my account and I had a 'Payment Method' already set up, but not a 'Transfer Out' account set up, which I have since done.
Problem is I now have no idea if I'm supposed to do anything else or if I have addressed the problem correctly. I haven't received an email saying I've completed the verification process. I thought I might have to 'Verify your Ping payment' but there is no Ping transaction in my bank account. I just have an 'unanswered question' and it doesn't make sense to reply to that when I don't know what the answer is. Plus it looks bad having an unanswered question on my sale. And I don't want to get my account suspended.
I've tried the help sections, and the bot just sends me around in circles. Any advice please before I go mad!?
Cheers

To contact a staff member directly for assistance if you select 'Contact us' at the very bottom of any TradeMe page the Live Chat Bubble will Pop up in blue at the bottom Right of your Landing page screen, enter in the Chat window Talk to person below the Bot text suggestions, next to the paperclip icon, to be transferred through to the staff line. - Enter your Listing number in the chat window also, enabling staff to pull it up readily.
The Live Chat manned hours weekdays are 8:00am - 5:30pm and weekends 9:30am - 4:pm- Cheers.0 -

Kia Ora Henry,
If you've received an email like this example below there is every chance it is sent from a scammer in which case you can forward the email to TradeMe using the following address abuse@trademe.co.nz - As you did copy the Link into your Browser run an anti-virus & a malware check through your device. - Always check the sender email address is one of TradeMe's which you can find through the Help file below...

Its always good to be mindful of links - the key indicator here is the link is not going to trademe due to what appears after the first dot. "trademe.n3w..."
