Fixed Price Offer Accepted then Pulled Out
AnsweredHi team,
I've just recently sent out a fixed price offer on a vehicle I'm selling, and someone accepted it. However, they have emailed me back to say they have accepted in error. TradeMe won't let me send out another offer again, is there any way this could be reset on my listing so that I can send that out to those who might have actually purchased it? Or would I have to relist it again?

Hi Clive. No, neither you nor Trade Me can send out the FPO again I'm afraid.

Ah. Do you know if I relist it, it will give me the option to do the FPO again at the end of that?

Yes, if you relist you will be able to send out another FPO if/when the auction closes.

Ah well, I'll run it again then, thanks for helping so quickly :)

Clive, if you find that you have been charged an extra fee for relisting it, please make contact with trademe as under the circumstances Im sure they will refund the second fee

Hi Clive - the "new look" Trademe doesn't allow me to send out a FPO to the watchers. You're not alone with Trademe's new policies.
Also a buyer who made an offer which I accepted has not fronted with the payment and says he will send $10 (on a $4000 sale) from his Australian bank account if I give him my bank account details and then see if he can organise further payments. Told him "no deal" , cash only on collection, and he's disappeared. Trademe have no visible means of relisting this unsold "sold" deal. So much for their new look set-up. Doesn't look good to me the way it currently stands. Best of luck for your situation....!

Kia ora Russell, sorry for the frustration with your trade. If you go to the listing in your sold items and open up the listing, scroll down slightly and on the right you should see a box that says "If the sale falls through" one of the options in there will be to relist. If there are success fees you need refunded and there isn't anywhere to apply for those, get in touch with us, with the listing number and the team will help you out.
