Personally I have done bikes before through couriers (not carriers) but it did mean breaking them down and sending all the parts separately. Even then you might still struggle with the frame. Depending on the size of it.

Go to Warehouse or a bike shop and get one of the bike packing boxes that they discard when they assemble them. Take off the pedals and handle bar and with a bit of packaging , should be sweet
