How do you get an address printed into a label printer for things I have sold on Trade Me

Before doing new post thought I would ask on here.

So I dont have a printer so cant print my own labels. I book my courier through Trade Me and have been given option to print label OR write the tracking number on package. Had a courier booked to collect item on Friday 13th June. I was home and saw courier collect package before Lunch. Still showing as waiting for pick up. I have just spoken to NZ post and they have emailed me back to say since it was a FreightForward and had no label on it the process is to take it back to the depot and it takes 24 to 48 hours for this to happen. Does anyone know more about this process. I was on the understanding that I wrote the number on the package and the driver had the label already printed. Any NZ post couriers able to tell me if the process has changed in the last 7 days. Never come across this before.
