Has anyone had auto bid go up straight to the maximum?
Answered-
That should have only happened if it hadn't reached the reserve? Suggest you ask Trade Me what has happened.

Yes, that is usually the case. It had autobid ticked, no reserve. Just a start bid. I made an autobid and it went to max.
How do you contact trademe ? There doesn’t seem to be a contact us link? Only automatic answers. Can you correspond with a human?0 -
Go right down to the bottom of the page - click on Contact Us - go to blue balloon on right hand side of page - click on it and you should be able to talk to someone. Type in 'talk to human' otherwise it'll be a bot.

To speak with a staff member go to the contact us section at the bottom right side of any page then go to the blue speech bubble bottom right side of that page and enter talk to a person in the message box you will then be connected to a staff member that you will be able to chat with about the issue you have had.

You can ask the seller to remove your bid. Explain what happened and that you still want to start at a lower price.

Kia ora Lynley, sorry to hear about the difficulty you're having. To bypass the bot type "talk to a person" and it will hand you on to someone in the team to help you out.
