Non Delivery Dispute Report

No, signature is not required. You're responsibility is to get it delivered to the buyer and NZ post has provided you with the evidence this has happened - so you have fulfilled your duties. The item has either been stolen (this is the buyers issue assuming nz post has followed their obligations re where to leave), someone in the household has taken it or it is a scam. Ive had people in the past try to say it wasnt delivered and demanded a refund only to provide them with photo evidence from the courier and then they go all silent

Tim. The exact wording of the Trade Me policy for buyer protection says they will only consider an item delivered with signature. However I have had the same situation as you. Trade Me found in my favour. Once NZPost completed their investigation they said the item showed as being delivered, the GPS was in the right area, and the driver said they left it in the letterbox.
It is worth getting the buyer to double check everything. Make sure the address they gave you is correct. Double check with others in the house. Check back doors, under the BBQ. Check neighbours. Check cameras or ask neighbours to check theirs. Surprising how many items show up when the buyer didn't do something simple like check the letterbox.
AJ I'm surprised you got a photo in your situation. NZPost say they only do a photo if you have paid for signature required, but the buyer has an ATL in place to negate that.

Here is link to a previous similar post,
You have done your part and it was delivered with proof from courier, Do not refund, it has either been stolen, or they are trying to scam you,

Thanks team ! I heard back
From The disputes team…. They said they “have added my side of the story” to the case but it’s yet to be allocated.
I appreciate your feedback here and I’ve got my fingers crossed2
