Kia Ora Craig,
Thanks for the Heads up this is doing the rounds again!
This is the first I've heard of this txt scam in awhile therefore it would indicate Not a data breach but rather an old scam back in play running bots through a range of mobile numbers.
It sounds like you have done everything you can at this stage so well done for being vigilant there.
You will want to delete the Scammer's Email & Whatsapp numbers so no-one else falls into the trap of risking their privacy by using them. - This is how the scammer gains access to other Members details also & in turn further Members who may have traded with them.
Stay Safe & Thanks😊

Both my partner and I have received this scam text too - I got the mine this morning. The more people are made aware of it the better.
It felt like an invasion even before I twigged it was a scam.0 -
received this text also, found the IP address of the machine sending it, good times ahead

Kia Ora Brent,
I hope you've reported both to the DIA & your mobile Service provider enabling them to block that IP address at their level also - Cheers.

I also got this message - immediate red flags were that it didn't come through any official TradeMe contact routes, as well as them offering too-good-to-be-true payment amounts and the email address they used did not match the name 'Karina-Jo.'
Ignored the message, but it's still really annoying and leaves me with an uncomfortable feeling that someone can just access my contact details like this.

Kia Ora Amber,
Yes! this can be unnerving & feel like a personal invasion, it's important to remember bots run through a given range of mobile numbers, some are hits & others misses as to whether they connect to a current 'in service' number. - Your personal details aren't exposed unless you respond with them to the txt. - The good news is you will remain alert & vigilant.
It's also important to report these through to the DIA enabling tracking & prevention measures of which will be Multiple Bot TXT senders, helping Internal Affairs to get ahead of & shut down the scam.
