Delayed Ping Payment
Hi,
I have just sold a listing and buyer made a Ping Payment and have already arranged for pickup at my address however there has been an obvious delay, I as a buyer did not receive any email from TradeMe about the sold item and have not yet received the Ping Payment from seller but the Seller has and had shown me her Ping and bank account was already deducted on her end but not on my end as the receiver. This has wasted our time as the seller traveled to my address expecting to pickup while I as a buyer thought that the seller was going to pay cash upon pickup so I had to tell her I need to wait for the Ping Payment to show up on my account first. What is happening with the delay? This is the first time that has ever happened to me. The seller is also aware that she didn't receive any email asking her to verify her Ping Payment so which means she has already paid succesfully.

Hi Callum,Yes I can prove to you, I have checked everything and I didn’t receive any email from TradeMe for Ping payment nor that I have sold the listing only notification from TradeMe app showing that I have sold the listing but have not received the Ping payment. It’s very odd this never happened usually the Ping is instantly received. Can you please help us? The buyer showed and proved with all her screenshots to me that she already paid with Ping0

Hello David. I am not from Trade Me. I am a member just like you. If you want to speak to Trade Me you will have to do so via Live Chat tomorrow.
You should check that the Ping payment hasn't been put on hold. This happens sometimes for more expensive items or where the buyer has used a new credit card, or a different card to normal, or their name doesn't match the card name etc.
To check if the payment is on hold, look at your sold items. It will have a grey Payment on hold notification on the right where the Ping confirmation normally is.

Sorry to read you're going through that experience with that Trade,
Great advice from Callum for you, - If the Ping payment has been put on hold TradeMe may have emailed your Buyer for verification details, ask them to double check their emails including their spam/junk folder for one from the TM Trust & Safety team. - The same Team should email you confirmation once any verification process has passed. - Cheers.
