Not sure if the bidder is legitimate

Sally, as long as the item is paid for before pickup and you have the money clear in your bank, then all should be fine. The one to avoid are the ones that say the courier will pay cash on pickup or they send a screenshot of payment. Couriers don't deliver cash on pickup and screenshots of payments can be faked. If the money is clear in your bank you should be fine, but if you are at all uncomfortable, you can remove the lead bid yourself by clicking in to the auction and choosing the Remove bid link. If doing this, it also pays to add the member to your blacklist so they can't bid again. If you can't find that link, have a look at the Help page to clarify.

Kia Ora Sally,
Having a look at the Bidders Feedback page is often a good indication, - you can also ask which courier service they intend on using, not many courier companies pick goods up to package & send on. - Cheers.

Sally, I've had people do the same thing - some use their business courier as its their preferred courier and may either be at a discounted rate or free to them. Its not too common but it does happen. The other thing to watch out for is if they send something to you with a link to click on - DONT.
