Why does Trademe allow Blacklisted traders to continue to add your items to watchlist? Creepy.

The blacklisted watcher might be adding your item to their watchlist in the hope you may see them and think they have genuine interest in buying and you might change your mind and sell to them. Or, it could be the Trade me system that is adding back your item to their watchlist automatically every time you relist, which is a know newish "feature" and has been discussed many times on here. The watcher may not even notice this and be oblivious to what's causing you angst. If you really want to try and shake them off, rather than relist, you can choose Sell a similar item, which then startys a new listing that won't get automatically added to watchlists.

Hello iaso. Much like if you trespass someone from your shop, you can't stop them walking past and looking in the window.
They can't ask questions, buy the item,or interact in any other way so just ignore them. Letting them get to you will mean they have achieved their desired result. I have no clue who is watching my items, and don't really care. I'm only interested in sales not watchers :)
Also don't forget items now stay on watchlists when relisted unless they are removed from the watchlist by the person who added it. So they might not even really know the item is on their watchlist if they don't look at it themselves.

She's watching my new listings that haven't been previously listed and she's well aware as I've asked her to stop. It's time consuming because when I go through the fixed price offer process she's watched 10 random different listings and I only find out it's her and a waste of my time after clicking through. Every week. It's stalking. She's a regular seller too so she knows exactly what she's doing.

Only advice I have is to set up automated FPO's via My Products. You don't have to do anything then. They offers are sent out automatically without you seeing who they are going to. When the offers close with either a sale or nobody accepts it, the item is then relisted.
I had a buyer who watchlisted 1000s of my listings every time for nearly a year. I had know idea until they eventually bought something and told me. In that case it turned out to be a Uni student doing some kind of research for their degree. You can't stop people watching your auctions.......
However if it REALLY bothers you maybe Trade Me could ask the person to stop on your behalf. Not sure they would do that though, or be able to take it further if they refused.

Sometimes I look to see who the watchers are to see if it is worth to offer or relist - I 99% relist as I find I have the same watchers watching - perhaps they are watching as they may have something similar and want to see how it sells or I'm too expensive and waiting for me to lower the price, who knows. I've also noticed once I have relisted and the listing is live, I'll get emails regarding the same listings either asking for a fixed price offer or a relist - thought that couldn't happen once the listing is live? Is it a glitch.
I just do what suits me now. Just ignore the watchers - as Callum says, they win if you let them get to you.
All the best

I'm not sure how they are doing this. I am blacklisted by a trader and when I go to their profile it says 0 items listed, yet they are getting new feedback so they must be trading.
However, I have noticed the past few months some items are being automatically put on my watch-list after being relisted.

Hello Aaron. You realise people can get feedback for buying as well I assume? That member could be getting feedback for buying, but has never sold anything. Or they can also be selling via buynow. So they will have feedback for those but not necessarily anything listed for sale at present. On the feedback page there are tabs for feedback from buying or selling that you can filter.

I don't think they know that they have been blacklisted until they try to bid on something. If they haven't bid they might keep watchlisting your auctions in ignorance.
