Can't find how to apply for a sales fee refund
AnsweredHi all, I've sold an item on Trade Me, the buyer initially made contact but has now ghosted. She hasn't paid for the item. I'd just like to get my sales fee refunded from Trade Me. But - due to their updating the website, I guess - I can't find any way to do that! The help desk info says there is a sales fee refund link on the Sold webpage for the item...but in real life, there's not. Or, if there is, I can't locate it. Please help?

Hello Kate. There are a number of ways to get to it. But yes, as you say it will look different depending how you are looking at Trade Me. Firstly and probably most importantly. How long ago did the auction close? If it was more than 45 days, the link won't be there.

The info at Submit a request takes me to info about where to find the Success Fee Refund (gives example screenshot etc)...but in reality, the success fee refund form isn't there. It's just information, but I can't find a live link to the form anywhere. Frustrating!0 -

The Link should have taken you to the following form...
Currently the system is undergoing an upgrade which has seen a few features like the Success Fee Refund temporarily missing for a few categories however this is one of the features TradeMe are aiming to have reinstated by year end...
In the interim if you aren't being taken to the correct form through the link provided you can contact a TradeMe staff member direct through "Live Chat" for assistance, If you select the Contact us Link at the very bottom of any TradeMe page the Chat Tab will Pop up in blue at the bottom right of your landing page screen. - Enter in the Chat bot which comes up once opened - person - and you will be taken to entering your details before arriving at the window to Chat with a Real Person/Staff. - Enter your Listing number in the window here enabling staff to pull it up readily.
The Live Chat manned hours weekdays are 8:00am - 5:30pm and weekends 9:30am - 4:pm- Cheers.0 -
