Extend or relist property ad, unsure of costs (if any)
AnsweredHi, I have a gold ad (property residential) with added feature listing expiring this week. Have received an email about extension or relist but am unsure about what the costs (if any) are involved in either option. I would like ad to continue for as long as possible but do not want to pay for feature listing or gold status. What are my options and what costs are involved (if any)? Thanks

Hi shane. Have you read the help file for this?

Hi, thanks yes already have read this but still not sure. Can I simply relist as a bronze ad for free? I do not require feature add on.

Or do I extend? What is the difference?

Kia ora Shane,
The base listing fees are only charged once, so it’s free to extend or relist your ad as a Basic/Bronze listing for as long as you need.
Promotional extras and upgrades are charged again on relist. The site will remember the options you had selected the previous time around but if you don't want these features or charges again, you'll need to untick these options when you relist.0 -
thanks, just to clarify, what is the difference between relist or extend then, if wanting to just go to a basic listing?

Hello again shane. Relist means just that. You relist the listing after it closes. Extend also means just that. You extend the time it is listed for, while it is still listed.
For both, you lose the promotional extras and your listing becomes bronze. Unless you want to pay to reinstate them.

this is still not clear to me either. I would really be grateful if you'd respond point-by-point to my questions. This is my understanding so far
1). Extending (features are charged automatically) - So until the listing has expired (which is in two days for me).... I have the option of extending. The email I received said "any promotional extras used (e.g. Feature listing) will be charged again on extension" which I took to mean that it is automatically charged (which I don't want), other articles have indicated I can select not to have the promotional extras.
2). However... the extension is only for 3 weeks at a time. So as long as I choose not to relist, that extension MUST be reactived every 3 weeks. Is that correct? And for how long does this option go on for?
3). If I keep extending and do not buy the Feature or Super Feature.... does my listing gradually slip towards the back of the search, so over time there is less and less chance of being seen?
4). If on the other hand I choose to let the listing expire, it seems like I can reactivate it by a relist.
But how long does that go on for and is that also something I have to regularly renew?
Without adding the Feature/Super extras, does it mean that again it will slip into obscurity?
Grateful for clarification as I couldn't get answer to these through the bot

Hello Rachel I am just a member like you, but here are some answers as best as I know.
1. Wasn't a question here, but yes all looks correct.
2. Yes, sounds correct. No limit. You can extend or relist indefinitely.
3. Yes, your listing will change to Bronze if you don't pay for promo extras. Up to you to decide if that means less views I guess.
4. You can relist anytime after closing, so long as you do this WITHIN 45 DAYS of it closing. Yes, as above without paying for any promos it will change to Bronze.
