Updating details, birthday field isn't working

Hi peter if you are wanting to correct the date of birth Trade Me has for your account membership I believe you need to contact Trade Me directly and they will change it for you it can't be changed by yourself you can change information such as your email address, password and phone numbers but not your date of birth I guess because your date of birth never changes so should not need to be updated unless it is incorrect. I can't find anything on the Android app or on the website showing my birth date. Is this a special field just on the iOS app?

Gary-NZStocked same for me my date of birth is not shown on my profile account page using the old desktop site the new look Trade Me site or the IOS app I believe it is only required when you set up your account for the first time as it is part the personal information required when setting up your account. I guess your date of birth is one thing that will never change so why would you need to change it unless it has been entered incorrectly when you setup your account.

I wasn’t trying to update my birthday which obviously remains unchanged.
A prompt on Trademe on my phone this morning ‘asked me’ to check and update my details, which I did.
Until I got to the birthday field, which didn’t work at all. I don’t get it, so never mind and thanks for trying to help.
Maybe Trademe can clarify why I even received the prompt in the first place and secondly why the birthday field is not working.0 -
You would be best to contact Trade Me directly using their Live Chat option where you will be able to speak live with a staff member and confirm with them why they are requesting you to check and update your details and why the birthday field is not working. You will have to wait until Monday morning when the chat staff are back online.
To use the live chat option go to the contact us section at the bottom of any page and then click on the blue speech icon on the bottom right side of that page type in talk to a person you will then be connected to a Trade Me staff member that you can chat with live.
Live chat is only available during business hours which are Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm Sat-Sun 9:30am to 4pm.
