Hello M.
Is there a particular link that isn't working for you? I opened Trade Me on Safari on my iPad and had a quick look around. Everything seemed to be working OK for me there.

Kia Ora M,
Sorry to read you're having trouble opening TradeMe through Safari,
Are there any links in particular you have set up that no longer work Or is this accessing the TradeMe site itself you can no longer connect to?
Are you getting any error messages come up?
A few Troubleshooting steps for you to try...- Have you Logged out and completely shut the TradeMe site & your iPad down then reconnected & attempted to Log back into the site?
- Check you are on the latest up to date version of Safari on your iPad Device Browser.
- Clear your Browser Cookies & Cache. How to Clear Your Browser Cache & Cookies: On Any Browser (wikihow.com)
- Disable VPN if you are using one.
- Have you tried viewing/connecting to TradeMe through a different Browser?
I have just checked for you and there have been no Announcements of any trouble connecting to the site either yesterday or today. - If these are preset links you have in place you may need to redo those presets. If you can share error messages or screenshots of what's happening that may help Members to see where you're at as someone may be able to give you further pointers coming forward, Otherwise after Troubleshooting you are still experiencing the same/similar issues you may want to contact TradeMe staff directly through "Live Chat" for assistance.- Cheers.0 -
I can still access the Trade Me site using my iPad and Safari version 17.6.1 but on my iMac I can no longer access any version of Trade Me using Safari I have to use either Firefox or Chrome which both still allow me to access Trade Me on my iMac. My iMac is old and can't be upgraded past Safari version 10.13.6 High Sierra therefore making it incompatible with the Trade Me website now. Depending on how old your device is and what version of Safari it can access will determine if you can still access the Trade Me site with it. Below is a screenshot of what I get when trying to access Trade Me on a older device.

Yes N, I am getting the same. It is disgraceful that TM refuses to support older devices. Especially when we still have money in our accounts. I need to be able to access real estate listing links.

Hi M does using the Firefox or Chrome web browsers not work on your iPad either? You could also try using BidBud it works more like the old Trade Me did and I can use BidBud on my outdated iMac using the older version of the Safari web browser. https://www.bidbud.co.nz/

I wouldn't call it disgraceful M. Tech is being constantly outdated everywhere as new releases are issued. It's not a problem unique to Trade Me. Reasons are mainly around functionality and security on old platforms. Many other sites and apps no longer function on legacy platforms. Especially when financials are involved.
Perhaps you should be addressing your concerns towards Apple rather than Trade Me? After-all it is them who have decided they will no longer update the software on your old device.............
