Accidentally Paid Twice - No contact from seller
Paid via Ping and then bank transfer by not thinking. I have sent the seller my bank account details but no email in reply, nor refund. What can I do?

Kia ora Daniel, depending on how long it's been since you paid the seller may not have seen it or has missed your emails. It's easy for the seller to refund you via Ping. If you don't hear from the seller get in touch with us with the listing number and evidence of the bank payment, so the team can look into it. If you don't hear from the seller and haven't received the item or a refund you can file a dispute report.

An easy mistake to make,
When did you email the Seller? - How long have they had to respond to you?
The Seller maybe awaiting your bank payment to clear if you have only emailed within the last 24hrs. - If you have no response...
- Check your payment card Bank statement incase your Seller has refunded your Ping payment - these refunds go direct to your card, the payment doesn't come back into TradeMe first However check your Ping Transactions through your My TradeMe account page as the Ledger records these refunds made.
- Have you checked your spam / junk folder in case an email has ended up there?
- Is Messages enabled for that Trade? - Your Seller may have messaged you instead which is a common mis-connect between Buyers & Seller.
- Is it possible this is a registered business company? - If you think they may be you can look them up on the NZ Companies Register to possibly obtain contact telephone number(s) and physical address.
- On around day 3 you can place a friendly feedback letting them know you have emailed, please check their spam/junk folders and make contact with you. - Feedback usually gains a response and can be changed once the Trade is completed, though this can only be edited the once.
- No reply by day 8 you can file a Dispute Resolution form for TradeMe's assistance.

Thanks both, I will give it another couple of days and see what happens before filing a dispute report.
They are not a registered business, and looking through their feedback, there is instances of poor communication also.

Remember you can try placing a Feedback requesting your Seller to check their email folders & make contact with you - this often gets a result without having to file a Dispute report. Your Seller may just be busy and not attached to their device 24/7 or possibly works through a different email address from their TradeMe account therefore hasn't caught up with your email as yet - You should at least receive a Tracking number within a couple of days of making payment if the goods are being shipped. - All the Best! - Cheers.

Hi team, still no news from the seller. No email, no refund. I even tried to ask a question on an auction, ignored. Left negative feedback, also ignored.
What do I need to do from here to get a refund from Ping?0 -

Sorry to read you've had no contact or refund of your duplicate payment,
You have done all the correct procedures to invoke a response and as you've exhausted all attempts you can involve TradeMe staff to look into this and open a Dispute Resolution report.
Michelle's comment above has the link to file a report - Meantime To contact TradeMe staff through "Live Chat" for instant assistance, If you select the Contact us Link at the very bottom of any TradeMe page the Chat Tab will Pop up in blue at the bottom right of your landing page screen. - Enter in the Chat bot which comes up once opened - person - and you will be taken to entering your details before arriving at the window to Chat with a Real Person/Staff. - Enter the listing number in this Chat window so staff can pull it up readily and attach evidence of your bank payment also.
