How to find the Purchase ID when you only have the Listing ID?
AnsweredI'm just wondering how I can find the purchase ID from old auctions. I have the listing numbers but wondered if there was a way to find out what the purchase ID was?
Are purchase IDs only available for a certain period of time? Some times the link works, other times it doesn't.

The P number purchase ID is only visible to the buyer and seller of a single transaction. You often get one listing number with multiple P purchase references from it for MQLs. Both members have it in the sold/purchase emails and in their Ping transaction list, which is downloadable do sort and find easily.

I'm after the purchase ids from when they were first introduced (2012?) and the Ping history is only a few years worth.
I have the listing ids and trying to find the link to find the purchase info from that...

Hi Tasha, since the details you are after are so old, I reckon requesting an Account summary of won items is your best bet - you can do so from the link on this help page

I have them all in my emails and can search through by just putting the P number or the listing number in the search box in my emails. Yes you are right, it was March 2012 when they brought them in.

Thank you Hamish. I do have an account summary but a lot of my sold summary has been removed from the database, I'm told. Some of the listings from 2004 can be retrieved from the listing id, but about 2/3rds just server error 500.

How do I find the original advertisement from 18 months ago for a vehicle I purchased which is now in dispute. It was for a classic Morris 1952 Tourer which was sold to me without the legal LVV certificate. I now want to see what the original worded advertisement was? I have the listing ID but the search says the classification has expired!

Unfortunately you can't see an expired classified on here Fiona. You can either ask Trademe for help or try cached google or other search engine copies.
