Unable to change to 'Run an auction' when editing a relist

You can't edit to change from a Buy Now only listing to a traditional auction with start/res/buy now while the listing is active, if that's the stage you are at. Not sure how the app works but you would be best to look for sell a similar item rather than relist, or use the desktop view via your browser to use sell a similar item, rather than the app.

You cannot change the type of auction when it is active.

When I relist an auction, why am I prevented from changing the type of auction?  I am relisting the item for sale, not necessarily repeating the existing (and completed) auction.

The only workaround I can see is to start a new auction of the new type but:

• If I have paid to relist the previous auction, I loose that and have to pay the full fees to do so
• I loose all of the people who had watch listed the item in the previously completed auction

Kia ora kobeus17, it sounds like you originally set your listing up as 'Buy Now only', these listings can't be changed to auctions (and vice versa). There's info on the different listing types here. If you're wanting to run your listing as an auction instead, you will need to start a new listing, which does mean you also lose your watchers. To create a new listing you can select the ‘Sell similar’ button to duplicate your listing, and add a start price in the pricing section – this will mean the listing will run as an auction. You can also add a reserve price or Buy Now if you'd like.
