How could someone know what you are buying or enquiring about
There must be a reason for this so I am out to pick your brains! How could people who stalk me find out who I am dealing with on trademe. If they hacked my emails there is other stuff they could know which they obviously don't so I am reasonably confident it is not that.

Siobhan. If anyone knows your membername they can look at your feedback to see what you have been buying and selling. There are clickable links in feedback to items you have sold, but what you have bought means going to the seller's feedback page via the link in your feedback page, finding feedback you have left on them, then the link to the listing is there. If you don't want people being able to see what you are buying, then don't leave feedback. If you don't want people to see what you have sold, you'd need to ask the buyers to not leave feedback.

I still don't have an answer re my post. The comment above does not explain how someone might know what I am watching. How they know who I bought from BEFORE I receive it - I don't give feedback until after I get something except on very rare occasions. And if I am not using my actual name how would they know??? I think someone in trademe is trying to wriggle out of this. Even if someone got hold of my user name it does not explain that interception between watching buying and the item's arrival here. The last two things I have received from a trader were opened before they came to me. They went to two different addresses that I have on trademe. Maybe whoever is involved in this needs to bone up on the privacy legislation....

Only the watcher themselves can see their watchlist while the listing is live. They can't see any other watchers, but only themselves. Once it closes, the seller can see all the watchers so they have the ability to send a fixed price offer. Once an auction closes, under usual circumstances, any member that looks at that auction can see the membername of the winner and other bidders. Obviously if you are expecting arrival of an item to you, you must have won/purchased it, as it can't go from your watchlist straight to you, it has to go to your won items first. Anyone can look back on sold items to see who won it.
Have you asked the sellers involved? Occasionally someone has bought something else from me after I have already packed their first item so I open up the original pack and add something else in, giving an opened look to the parcel, but it is resealed with tape, although I would usually explain this in an email before sending. I have also seen some sellers pre-pack items as they think someone is only going to buy one, then they open and reclose to add in something else where needed.
Other than that, if you have specific examples of concern, maybe ask Trademe to look in to them for you.

I know all this I have been on trademe for years. I have asked and nothing was done. I am over this I may have to take Other action.

Kia ora Siobhan, I've emailed you. If you are concerned that someone either has unauthorised access to your Trade Me membership enabling them to see your watched items, or you are being stalked these are things we take seriously. Getting in touch with us is absolutely the right thing to do.
