Can I blacklist a seller?
Warehouse Timber have a branch in Henderson and another in Helensville. Helensville in particular have more listings by far than any other merchant. There is an option to blacklist someone from bidding on your listings but Trademe needs to create an option for buyers to blacklist sellers. This will refine the number of listings to go through and motivate sellers to stick to a reasonable number of well priced items. Who is going to Helensville or lives relatively nearby and as over $900 to spend for free delivery?? Alternatively, with the suburb choice, rather than nominated those to include, why do Trademe not have an option for a suburb(s) to exclude?? If you are a very regular buyer as I am, this type of issue is a real turn off

Hi David. While Trade Me don't offer this option bidbud does. I suspect Trade Me will never implement something that deliberately blocks you from seeing a sellers items. Probably be some push-back from sellers as well . It took years and many complaints for them to implement filter for international sellers. Even then it's still not right, as dropshippers appear as local even though the items are coming from overseas.
Don't forget that a seller is only allowed 1 listing for each identical item. So if the seller you are having issues with has put up bulk listings for the same item, you can certainly do something about that by sending through a report to Trade Me.

Kia Ora David,
The Blacklist function although stating for Sellers actually works for Buyers too - it's a 2 way feature. - It doesn't prevent Listings from showing up in searches though it is purely a Can't Bid on Listings or ask questions feature - Cheers.

They are allowing people worldwide to do this unfortunately at the expense of individual sellers, best they set up a site separately for Businesses like this who are locals, we are also over those who are International companies who have infiltrated this website and what's worse is how can Trade Me support those who are likely to be in Breach of Copyright and Patents?
Who incidentally is ticking this rubbish off and allowing it into New Zealand at Customs Department when it's likely to not even be up to required Standards of Production or Good quality?

I wish there was a way to block retail sellers from clogging up search results! If I wanted items from them, I could buy from their website or physical store. When I'm trying to buy from individuals, I have to plod through thousands of listings from a large in-trade seller. I tried blacklist but their listing still show in my search results. Boo.
