I would like to offer a cheaper shipping option
I am selling toys that collectors buy, I send in a carton so that the product's packaging arrives in perfect condition. I would like to offer the option to send in a satchel instead but struggling on how to set that up in the shipping template.
Satchel - Nationwide $7
Carton - Nationwide - $10
How do I go about setting that up? Thanks

Bennett, with the new shipping templates, you can't have freeform options like that. Options would be to individually set the shipping per item rather than use a template, or use the carton pricing and mention in the listing that if the buyer wants it sent in a satchel it would be cheaper and you can refund the difference, but that makes it messy and could lead to problems.

Yes, this situation is a bit of a pain. I've got some boxed vintage matchbox cars. For me I do it the other way around. I have the standard satchel rate in the shipping rate and make it clear in the listing (big bold wording) that if the buyer wants the item boxed I can do so but it will cost $x rather than the stated $y
Luckily a matchbox car is not too tricky to send safely in satchel with the right packaging techniques. But I do know there can be some ultra fussy collectors in this arena. So far I haven't had any buyers take up the box offer.
