Is my address 'Urban' or 'Rural'?

I have just become aware that some courier companies deem my address 0810, Auckland, as rural and some include it as part of Auckland. TradeMe are not much help as their advice is to ask the seller, hopeless. I have been onto the Aramex site and cannot find any guide. This is a problem for me, but I think that it will be a bigger problem for TradeMe and sellers. Unfortunately TradeMe, to my knowledge is automated and can't be contacted by email or phone, I don't see why you or I should have to handle the problem as it is a core business problem for them, ultimately affecting thousands. A penny for your thoughts.

Gary-NZStocked Community SuperuserYanse, you should edit your post to remove your personal address from it by clicking the cog icon and choosing edit. It's not allowed to post information like that, plus it's not a good idea to.
Yes, each courier company has different delivery areas they service and if it's outside their area they class it as Rural, or out of area, so they pass it on to another company for the final delivery.
You can check your own address to check many courier companies at the same time by putting your address in to www.addresscheck.co.nz and most courier companies eg Aramex have an address checker on their own websites too.

Every Courier Company has their own variations of what they class as Rural or Urban.

flossy63 Community SuperuserYou will need to edit your post and remove your address, but using the address checker these are what couriers say,all couriers have different boundaries,for example, Warkworth is part of Auckland but NZ post boundaries are smaller, and it is outside the postal boundaries, so considered Within Island not Auckland,
