Thanks for the feedback - now others know what to look out for … 😉
I had that too. It might show you as logged in, but logging out and back in might fix that.
Yes, I had quite a few listings disappear. Their photos are still in the photo browser (if you go to ‘select existing photos‘) but the listings themselves are gone (and no, I didn’t delete them). I have also experienced wrong photos appearing in auction, but not as often. And no, Callum, the photo issue is NOT ‘quite likely’ due to user error. From what I’ve seen on Trademe they took the cheapest offer for their redesign, and it shows (and for the record, I’m a Molecular Biologist but I taught myself programming to write a few scientific apps for lab use, have done the computer support at e...
@marmis: nice comment. Making it easier and more successful for casual sellers would help stemming the flow of users to other platforms, and THAT should be the overriding priority for professional sellers too. Not if they get annoyed by someone. If they think THAT is bad then you wonder what they do when Trademe shuts and they have to use a platform where 8 of 10 are timewasters at best (some stop contact as soon as they have my address, and 2 or 3 days later someone comes down our long driveway until they see me watching them - then they abruptly turn around), one more is a scam attempt ("...
I write my listing in Apple's notes app (which is quite brilliant) including reference number, an image for quick identification, title, listing description, additional notes. Listing number is pointless as it changes with every relist. I then copy it across. If I don't find something that must be there then checking what I typed is the first thing I do. Next thing is to use different search terms (eg copy the reference from Notes into the search field, or use another term from the title). I don't delete anything - sold listings go into a SOLD folder. Listings that need more editing go into...
Seems pretty clear to me:
It is one of my pet gripes about MyProducts too. I can understand that professional sellers don't want it in TradeVine, the business app for professional Trademe users. But why do they butt in the discussion on MyProducts which is for casual sellers (and nobody cares that it was for pro's a long time ago because that is completely irrelevant)? It's literally none of their business. So maybe they should just keep their irrelevant opinions to themselves?
My Products is part of the Trademe website, not a separate app. You go into My Trademe at the top left to see your stuff, and look in the left panel - the third item from the bottom is My Products. I recommend using it even for casual sellers like you and me.
Trademe quotes are an estimate, and the actual price CAN and sometimes DOES vary from the quote. Worst one I experienced was with Aramex where they didn‘t actually deliver to the rural address and passed it on to NZ Post for the last few miles - for which I was charged $10 over the quoted price.
