If you use Bidbud to view feedback, you have the option to jump to all non positive feedback entries.
I don’t mind paying the additional 2.1% if my customers pay via Ping. For me, it saves so much work and streamlines the whole process. But what I do object to is losing sales in an already tough market because customers are suspicious of Ping and either don’t know how to set up Ping or simply don’t want to. I have a lot of elderly customers who like to pay via Internet banking and will no longer be able to.
If you haven’t already placed feedback, leave negative feedback politely stating that you are still awaiting payment for goods already received by the buyer. Also state that you will be happy to amend feedback if payment is subsequently received. Sorry you got caught out on this trade. Many of us (myself included) have learnt this lesson the hard way.
Hi Kimberlee-Ann Glad this issue was resolved. If I was you, would make contact with NZ Post one last time and let them know the odd circumstances in which the parcel was eventually delivered. It’s annoying and time consuming when parcels go missing. I send quite a few parcels each week and in some areas I avoid using a particular franchise as I’ve had problems with them in the past. In other areas the same franchise is great.
I’m an In Trade Seller and just in the process of applying for some refunds on my success fees due to combining shipping. How do I calculate these? Is there a flat percentage that is applied across all categories or does it depend on what category the items were listed in? Thanks people!
Love Simon’s advice. I’m not sure if you’ve already been paid or not. If so, all well and good. But if not you don’t want to be left in a situation where you wait for three weeks and then the buyer doesn’t actually complete the trade. I would be inclined to say I’m happy to hold it for you but I will require payment to be made within x number of days. That tends to sort out the committed buyers from those that are likely to waste your time. Often people ask a question on my auctions to this effect and 9 times out of 10 they don’t proceed with the purchase when they realise that they will n...
Hi Lorraine. Everyone has their own way of sending parcels but my life got a lot easier once I discovered Trade Me’s Book a Courier system (BAC) and Pass the Parcel. Both are a door to door courier service so I never have to go to the post office. BAC allows you to send courier bags and boxes with either NZ Post Courier or Aramex. You don’t need a printer because they will print the labels for you. There are set prices depending on what size bag or box, whether the buyers address is urban or rural, same island or inter island. You can get an idea of shipping costs at the time that you list...
Thanks Gary & S. Nice to know it’s nothing personal!
I’m not sure why this keeps happening. I’ve never been banned from this Notice Board and I don’t make rude or inflammatory comments. I’ve been a member of Trade Me for 20 years and have done over 4000 trades so I know a fair bit about trading - not as much as some people though ;) Why is it then that all my comments needs to be approved by Admin before posting? Is it just me or is this the same for everyone?
I wrote a reply and it has ended up in Pending. Hopefully it will be approved soon but in the meantime check out Pass the Parcel for cheaper courier options :)
