Welcome, yes there's all the aforementioned problems you have described. Most frustrating and stupid to remove the most basic essentials including seeing who the watchers names are - without them it's become a very backwards website to operate. When we could see who the watchlisters were we could exercise our own judgement if we would make an offer, or establish if the person is a likely competitor selling similar items to check out market forces, and just general "good will" between users
It's incompetence all around, but hey what would we users know who don't have any idea where the 'Mysterious Survey' information is.
Website is shambolic. Why coerce people to incorporate what suburb they are in for listing Casual sellers items? Leave it optional in the main body of listings. If someone really wants to know that can use Ask a Question. Meanwhile, isn't trade me a nation wide website? It's irrational. Don't start us on placing people who are already at risk of stalking to be subjected to further distresses. What's happened to 101 of Privacy. Whoever is behind these changes needs to be sent out the door.
It's to fiddly and complex. Trade Me / APAX should never have messed up the website. That said, by gosh, Garage Sales with signs on the street may just make an almighty comeback. Frankly we are over the Cashless / Paperless/ Digital nonsense as it's Monopolies and Anti Competitive practices all around But hey folks, Look up who attended the Bank of England training course back in 1973 - a local Economist who has ruined NZ.
Gosh AJ, you should know what survey it is that was done as oft discussed in here and as a Community Superuser must know if there's been Consumer related Survey's done for PING, Trademe & APAX partners. We don't recall seeing or partaking in one nor can seem to locate the survey results, or Questions asked of participants. Anyone who can help source these surveys it would be appreciated so we can decide for ourselves our thoughts on them.
Not always possible to update browsers for whatever reason and we must be mindful and consider those who are unable to update browsers, devices etc, just like the 50 k people still only able to access 3 G. Oh for the days when Logic was applied in society and telecommunications provisions.
Good day troygreg Eek, you need to factor into account if it's reasonable that the weather elements have had a bearing on the current status. Perhaps reach out to them and ask, they may be impacted by the rain etc. A little kindness in such situations may not go astray either way. Keep the communications chanel open - challenging if you are moving house yourself and downsizing etc. What's more important? An eventual sale of the items? Or stuck with them or given away for free? Good luck
@-attic Place a comment on the sellers feedback to check their junk mail - it appears as if there's still IT problems with emails going into junk. As a casual seller we have had that happen & it was by chance we checked junk mail & saw that's where they went. All the best
Anyone won it who has a Landline and no video phone? Curious to know for those without those 1960's mobiles that if one had them those people were accused of Espionage - true story btw.
Lexi Make sure you request a full copy of your information and any outstanding credit on your account, if you have any as it all adds up to someone else gaining financial interest on your monies
