This issue is a pain in the butt and needs fixing. We have encountered it too. It's like the size of the print on the label of a jar of Marmite and some of the street direction signs - someone has written it without any logic to how it really looks. Oh for the Good Ole days where Editing and typesetting was sensible.
Eva This is a great question you have asked. Did you manage to get your money back from Trade me? It's really important this is displayed in a place of it's own for all users because one may reasonably assume there's a tidy sum on the public's monies sitting in Trade me Bank account. Alas interest isn't great these days.
This problem is still happening. Who are on Trade Me IT team? These should be basic training how to fix engineering matters. Wondering if all this Tech / AI problems all link back to contracts started with Chorus and Deregulation of Telecommunications because they all reek of a failure of Contracted services in compliance with NZ laws.
So herein lies a huge problem for us all. What time are those Operating the Interface of Trade me are they on? This helps explain in part why so many of us are unable to see our Watchlisters to offer our items to during processes. This is also likely why the number of views etc has dropped off the radar. Would Trade me please address this because we are on the correct Time settings and fed up with been unable to offer to sell items to those who are our Watchlisters. Thank you
Try go through your email notifications - sometimes that way works to relist items so you don't need to re write all those important details, alas not always guaranteed to have photos. Oh for the days of Human Intervention and real people doing jobs with a friendly voice in Customer services. Goodness people need to wake up.
There's no option available to remove the automated Ping option, nor is the existing Option there to include a Bank account payment. In New Zealand, It's Opt in under legislation to the best of our knowledge. Not in the remotest bit interested in the Automatically coercive tactics of forcing us to use PING, merely to get No success fees. We also question if this screw up has been why we are unable to see who is watchlisting our listings and been able to do Fixed Offers. Coercion is abuse and that's not ok TM
Couriers do not deliver to Rural, they merely drop items off at the local Post Office and a contracted Postal Delivery person with a van delivers those items, groceries, bread and milk and standard mail. We laughed during lockdowns at some of the silliness going on and the interpretation of Working Remotely and Home delivery of Groceries because that's what Grass roots Kiwis living in rural areas have done for years. Whilst some places are geographically in RURAL New Zealand they don't all have a RURAL DELIVERY additional charge. The Postal Service in this country has become so messed up ...
They are allowing people worldwide to do this unfortunately at the expense of individual sellers, best they set up a site separately for Businesses like this who are locals, we are also over those who are International companies who have infiltrated this website and what's worse is how can Trade Me support those who are likely to be in Breach of Copyright and Patents? Who incidentally is ticking this rubbish off and allowing it into New Zealand at Customs Department when it's likely to not even be up to required Standards of Production or Good quality?
Each and every time those who work in Tech change Interfaces in general on websites, it can and does cause an utter nightmare - there's files for Africa in different places that can or may not get picked up on. Bank details are also known to change as are Photo ID Verification documents - yet those details are more than likely already on File due to having to keep Records for the life of a person - yes that's the life of a person, however as we know with 'Computers' they only used to store 64kb!!! Sorry to read you are also having problems with this
And if those who have pushed all the Fintech stuff bothered to read Administration Acts they would know 101 of Privacy Rights. Look at the bigger Bug Brother picture involving IBM & associated techs. These people merely copy and pasted Government Forms & Templates on to a digital platform with no Logic involving humanities. The push to Digital only away from oral, hand written and face to face Humanities was always going to end in a disaster as we are all seeing. Perhaps look up the Know Your Customer program Report that was rolled out era 2019 to help those in lessor social economic ...
