If you're intrade yes you will have ping enabled and you can't deselect it. You can also use cash. If you are not intrade, you are not forced to use ping. I see your 2 auctions listed don't have ping on them
The password you use is your trademe password. So if you can log onto trademe using the password then it should work for your buy now.
@ftankmachine - you can't remove the ping account as its attached to all members, but if you are not intrade just remove it as a payment option AND ensure its not preselected when you list a new item
Its always good to be mindful of links - the key indicator here is the link is not going to trademe due to what appears after the first dot. "trademe.n3w..."
No i don't want to use PING. I'm considering whether to open another bank account with just first and last name if that's possible. But will see if i have anyone else with this issue
I have put in the dispute report. I went back to them again to ask if they have tried my first name and last name and what did that come up with. They actually responded but said they didn't and also said they didn't want to pursue the trade anymore. This is all fine but just don't know why people can't see both sides and move on amicably. I mean really what's harm done. I could get all grumpy about the person not paying but understand their worry and happy to just move on. They have never considered my position. Trademes response will be interesting. I've given all but my middle name so ...
Thanks again for your advice flossy63. I will definitely do that and hopefully trademe will delete it. I know they dont often do, but this is clearly against their policy so hopefully they will. I was hoping we could just agree to move on
Just an update, I didnt hear bank from the buyer - even after giving my first name so applied for my fees back. Just today they have now placed negative feedback on me for failing to provide full details and stating I must have something to hide.
Hi S, yes but only on bidbud eh? Blacklisted buyers (on trademe) arent blacklisted for you to buy from. If if people who dont use bidbud, you can still effectively buy from a seller you've blacklisted on trademe. Yeh Ive been with trademe for over 20 years and its been interesting to see how much its grown and changed
I do wonder why this wasn't a feature trademe built into their system. If they saw the need to blacklist buyers then why not seller. For those of us that don't use bidbud there should be this option. And as Andrew as said he won't develop bidbud further, at some stage it won't work
