Kris you can also check the delivery address that has been sent to the seller by checking the Trade Me purchase confirmation email that will have been emailed to you at the time of purchase your selected delivery address will appear in the “Shipping details” section of that purchase confirmation email from Trade Me.
Hi Gary yes that is correct as I said in my post you must have a bid amount scheduled on the listing for the email questions/comments option to work with BidBud.
Hi Owen to my knowledge the only way a watcher can be alerted to a comment or question being added to your listing is if they are using BidBud and have a bid amount scheduled for that listing then they can select the option to have BidBud email them if a comment or question is added to that listing. See the screenshot below from BidBud.
S I would use the Live Chat option to contact Trade Me Customer Support and let them know the situation and get their advice. Go to the Contact Us link at the bottom of any page and click on it hover over the bottom right side until a blue Chat bubble appears and you will be able to chat with someone from Trade Me live.
I got scammed a few years ago by a seller of a iPhone who answered all my questions and seemed legit but once the payment was made no more contact and no iPhone I had to file a dispute with Trade Me and after they could not make contact with the seller they provided me with a referral letter to take to the Police where I then filed a fraud by deception case. After a long drawn out process the Police tracked down the person via their bank account and they ended up in court where they were convicted and ordered to repay the money in instalments which took several months lesson learnt I now on...
Caroline it might pay to check your notifications settings to make sure the questions asked option is selected in the selling notifications options.
John are you trying to create the listing via the Trade Me app I believe you need to use the desktop site not the app.
You would be best to contact Trade Me directly using their Live Chat option where you will be able to speak live with a staff member and confirm with them why they are requesting you to check and update your details and why the birthday field is not working. You will have to wait until Monday morning when the chat staff are back online. Gary-NZStocked same for me my date of birth is not shown on my profile account page using the old desktop site the new look Trade Me site or the IOS app I believe it is only required when you set up your account for the first time as it is part the personal information required when setting up your account. I guess your date of birth is one thing that will never change so why would you need to change it unless it has been entered incorrectly when you setup your account.
Hi peter if you are wanting to correct the date of birth Trade Me has for your account membership I believe you need to contact Trade Me directly and they will change it for you it can't be changed by yourself you can change information such as your email address, password and phone numbers but not your date of birth I guess because your date of birth never changes so should not need to be updated unless it is incorrect.
