For anyone who uses My Products I activated x19 my listings earlier today and as I don't have Ping selected as a payment option on any of my products when they were activated no Ping payment was added to the listings so you are good to just list as normal if you use My Products and don't use Ping. If you are creating a new listing outside of My Products using the "Start a listing" option Ping is automatically selected and you can't remove it like in the screenshot below.
Thanks S with the problem listing I have now also edited it to include the make an offer option in the hope the watcher who requested a fixed price offer may see it and make me a offer on the listing and with also setting up the fixed price offer option for the listing when it closes in My Products I will see if either of these gets a response from the watcher.
Hi Michelle thanks for the advice I already use My Products and have used it for a number of years now and it's great normally I don't do fixed price offers to watchers of my closed listings I usually just re-list the listing. The issue I am having is when a member requests a fixed price offer on one of my closed listings and there are no watchers visible on the listing therefore a fixed price offer can't be sent. The only time I would consider sending a fixed price offer is if a watcher requests it but on the problem listing I will set up the fixed price offer option on it via My Products ...
Caroline it might pay to check your notifications settings to make sure the questions asked option is selected in the selling notifications options.
John are you trying to create the listing via the Trade Me app I believe you need to use the desktop site not the app.
Liz I use My Products to manage my listings so duplicating the listing is very quick and easy it does mean that previous watchers are not informed of the new listing and will have to search for it again which I am ok with I don’t re-list the closed listing that has watchers as doing that would carry the watchers over to that re-listed listing which is what I want to avoid. Some members have said they like the new feature but for me it is giving false views and watchers so I prefer to start fresh with a new listing. Liz you might be surprised to know this is actually a new feature Trade Me introduced around August where they now automatically add watchers from your closed listings to your new listings when you re-list them. Trade Me have updated their help page about watchlists to indicate this is what now happens. To me it is not a helpful feature and I don’t like it so I now duplicate any of my listings that have closed with watchers creating a new listing where any watchers shown are current and not carried over from the previous listings.
You would be best to contact Trade Me directly using their Live Chat option where you will be able to speak live with a staff member and confirm with them why they are requesting you to check and update your details and why the birthday field is not working. You will have to wait until Monday morning when the chat staff are back online. To use the live chat option go to the contact us section at the bottom of any page and then click on the blue speech icon on the bottom right side of that page type in talk to a person you will then be connected to a Trade Me staff member that you can chat ...
Gary-NZStocked same for me my date of birth is not shown on my profile account page using the old desktop site the new look Trade Me site or the IOS app I believe it is only required when you set up your account for the first time as it is part the personal information required when setting up your account. I guess your date of birth is one thing that will never change so why would you need to change it unless it has been entered incorrectly when you setup your account.
Hi peter if you are wanting to correct the date of birth Trade Me has for your account membership I believe you need to contact Trade Me directly and they will change it for you it can't be changed by yourself you can change information such as your email address, password and phone numbers but not your date of birth I guess because your date of birth never changes so should not need to be updated unless it is incorrect.
