shortsbandy. Cash is still acceptable, so yes the payment instructions are needed. While TM only allow cash/ ping or afterpay as the payment options to be listed in the payment options on the listing, for many buyers and sellers, bank transfer is a preferred option and that info can be transmitted in the payment instructions. Also, pickup information is also contained in the payment instructions. However in the long distant past, the full payment instructions were sent to the buyer in the TM purchase notification email. Then TM decided to "hide" the payment instructions as much as possible,...
It is likely to be one of two things. A/ The address with the courier it is going with is zoned rural, but they have selected urban option, (different courier brands have different rural zoning) B/ Or that it was priced with one of the couriers on Book a courier, but at the time of booking, that courier was not available, so it reverted to the other courier brand which is more expensive. both are comman issues on TM
Flossy63. You are correct, each person has their own way they work and that is fine. I like you, do all my stuff on a desk top as is my preferance. With one exception which is getting questions notification on the app on my phone. I dont use the TM phone app for anything except reciving and answering questions on TM. I have about 500 listings going, and Im away from computer for long periods so its ideal to use the app for timely answering of questions. As most of us know, the seller who answers the question first is often the one who gets the business (as buyers often ask the same questio...
In the past when I have shipped items accidentally before payment, I have got TM involved and they contacted buyer. In most cases they paid. For 1 case they did not pay and TM put their account on hold until paid. To this day 5 years later no more feedbacks on it so account either frozen or abandoned. If you do place feedback on them, dont call them a thief as it is effectively calling them a criminal (but they have not been found to be that in a court) and TM will likely remove it if requested. But you can describe your story in feedback and state you "belive" them to be very dishonest,
Yes, I belive it is your responsibility to refund shipping. The premis is that the buyer should not be out of pocket if they dont receive what they ordered (ie unbroken goods), they would be out of pocket if they did not get shipping refunded. As a seller, if your claim is successful with courier, you will be refunded goods and postage they charged you
Essentially the buyer has not got what they purchased (ie an item in the condition it was purchased in) so they should rightfully have a full refund. While it was broken in transit, it may or may not be the couriers fault. It maybe that the type of goods sent are in the couriers banned items list for shipping ( therefore no basis for claim from courier). It also maybe that the courier may deem goods insufficiently packed ( so no basis for claim on courier). But maybe just poor handling by courier which they may pay out on. Either way, you need to claim with courier and tell buyer to keep br...
Leone. You have to remember different types of people have different ways of trying to get a deal which to them is normal. Some feel totally embarrassed to negotiate at all, others think offering 10% of asking price is a starting point. Sometimes its just the type of person they are, or the way they were bought up. Also different ethnicities operate in different ways. Often western culture works on only negotiating a small amount off an asking price, whereas often middle eastern and asian cultures negotiate by putting in stupidly low offers (that they know will not be accepted), but use it ...
In the past TM has indicated you can have more than 1 intrade account as long as the product lines are essentially different and TM give the nod to it. So you could have one business selling mobile phones on one account and gardening equipment on another, but not both selling mobile phones. I guess the situation is completely different though if one person has 2 or more separate companies selling on TM. Of course they would need different accounts as they are essentially different entities legally so would also have different bank accounts and different GST numbers. In this situation it is...
I love the bit about the sellers responsibility to ensure gods are delivered in 7 days. While a seller can order the courier the moment goods are paid for, a/ when the courier actually picks up the goods is out of the sellers control, and b/ How long the courier actually takes to deliver is also totally out of their control. When 7 days is a good guide for goods to be recieved in, in most cases the seller has zero power to enforce it or control it
Lucy, can I ask you a question? Why are MQL listing have no withdrawal fee but an auction does. It seems logical. You will have exactly the same reasons for withdrawing an MQL as an auction, BUT, one is penalised for with drawing, the other not . , that is really not fair
