dixie. If a buyer pays with Ping and lodges a dispute, they still have to send the item back to you (tracked) so you can assess the item before making your decision on refund/repair/replace. Trade Me does not just refund buyers if they open a Dispute. The buyer still has obligations to fulfil and will listen to your side of the story.
Jeffrey. If I may comment on one of your points. It is a simple matter to report accounts that have been hacked. In my experience Trade Me act fast on these when reported. You use Community Watch and the relevant drop down filter as shown here.
Ah I've had a few surprising afterpay sales using My Products. But that's because I grudgingly activated it on request for some buyers. Once they confirmed they were happy to pay the extra 4.95% Then forgot to deactivate it again so it relists with it activated. If you hit duplicate on those listings to list something afterpay will also carry over in those cases. You can check all your own listings of course. Click your name and filter afterpay to make sure you don't have any sneaked in there.
Hello Robert. Hasn't happened to me and haven't seen any other people saying it has. Many get caught out with Ping, because Trade Me pre-tick that option, but Afterpay needs to be ticked if you want to add that. I guess you just did that during the listing process and didn't realise it.
Andrew, you are wrong about Raglan. Are you basing your statement on Aramex or something? Of my last dozen or so sales to Raglan using NZPost only 1 was an RD address. The rest were standard addresses. No RD surcharge needed.
Hello Stephen. While it is a known issue with the standard listing method, this topic heading, and first post, are around Listing Tools. As far as I know you can do FPO using My Products no problem at all. In fact Trade Me recommend this method if you are having problems. Are you saying you can't do FPO using My Products? Or are you saying you can't do it using the standard way from your unsold page?
Hello Barney. Is this My Products you are having problems with? Is your account in credit and / or auto billing activated? If you don't have credit items might not relist Do you have the listing allowance cap turned on? This can prevent relisting if you have hit your high volume listing allowance limit. Otherwise maybe come back with some more info. Like if you are getting error messages or listing failure warnings.
Hello Leann Trade Me doesn't let me post the direct link to the help file at the moment, but if you just type "success fee refund" into the search bar above, you will get there
Hi Andrew. Yes. Hundreds of people. Part of the "upgrade" Trade Me is making. There are dozens of other posts about this issue and others which have been continuing for 6 months now. Trade Me have indicated the fix should be coming "early 2025" The only solutions offered for your problem at this stage is to try hitting "mobile" at the bottom of the page, or manually search for your item within the website. Both pretty painful. https://help.trademe.co.nz/hc/en-us/community/posts/10420483570191-Is-there-a-reason-that-auctions-I-have-won-are-not-going-in-my-Items-I-Won-folder
Hi Dave. Because that item closed more than 45 days ago it is not possible to relist it directly on Trade Me. Going forward you can use My Products. The free listing tool from Trade Me. When you use My Products items never expire, so you can relist them with a single click, automatically send out Fixed Price Offers, add stock levels if you have more than 1 available, and a bunch of other helpful features.
