Kia ora everyone, to clarify, AJ is correct here, it is up to the buyer to choose their preferred method of payment, from the payment options on the listing, Ping, cash, or Afterpay are the only payment options we offer. At the moment the shipping options mean that buyers and sellers need to arrange shipping and payment separately, we realise this is extra work for both buyers and sellers, we'll continue to work on that.
Kia ora sofairways, we are making some changes to update the site, you can read about those here. While we're making these changes some features are temporarily unavailable for some listings. Fixed Price Offer was one of the missing features, however we rolled it out to the new system earlier this year. Initially FPOs were only for 24hour duration, now sellers can select the duration but watchers are not able to be selected - the offer goes to all watchers. You can pass on any feedback to the team directly via "Tell us what you think" towards the bottom of Trade Me pages.
Kia ora simon277, sorry to hear that you had that experience. Unfortunately, we’ve seen a significant rise in bank transfer related scams and that’s not a risk we want for our community. While most fraudulent activities on Trade Me are resolved quickly, 90% of the scams that we couldn't help our members with last year involved bank transfers. Moving to Ping is the only way we can confidently offer you protection (up to $5,000) and ensure the Trade Me Marketplace remains a safe place for everyone.
Kia ora Garry, there is currently a bug with the Android app affecting some listings.
Kia ora, thanks for reporting those listings and for keeping an eye out, it pays to be vigilant! The team will be all over these, but if you do see them popping up again or similar listings, follow Gary and Callum's advice and report those via Community watch Nathan, those go to the right team to take action.
Kia ora Bonnie and Cathy, Community is part of our Help Centre, to keep things tidy and help focused we remove posts and comments that aren't in line with our Community Guidelines. We're happy to receive feedback, as you mentioned Bonnie you can give us feedback on the new-look site via 'Tell us what you think', that goes to the right team. You can always contact us if you're experiencing issues with the site and we'll look into it. Some features aren't available for some listings, as we are making some changes in the background, we may have a workaround or you can ask the Community.
Kia ora Sandra, this one is a known bug for us. Sorry, we aren't able to edit the end time from our side either but I have refunded the fee you were charged. If you want to withdraw the listing and start a new one, with your preferred end time, hop onto live chat and someone can help with that.
Kia ora greg23, buyers on in trade sellers listings won't have a service fee. The service fee applies to buyers on casual listings which will be tiered based on the item’s value. Service Fee tiers$0.00 - $20.00 = Free$20.01 - $100.00 = $0.99$100.01 - $250.00 = $1.99$250.01 + = $4.99

You can find your unanswered questions in new-look if you go to your 'Items I'm selling' page, click on 'All listings' to get the drop down and there is a filter there for 'Unanswered questions'. The filter won't show listings in some categories, so using the emails will be the way to navigate to those If you are on the apps you can find unanswered questions on your 'Items I'm selling page' under 'Filters', go to filter. Again this won't show listings from some categories, use the emails to navigate to those ones.
