Thanks everyone. Michelle I tried that link but couldn't find a live chat option. I did actually send an email about this a few weeks ago, the customer support reference is 4732619. I got a reply saying appropriate action would be taken, but as far as I'm aware nothing's happened -- and the seller is now emailing me asking me to take down negative feedback. It doesn't really bother me but I do worry that he's done this before and he'll do it again to someone else.
I won the auction and the seller immediately contacted me to "negotiate" as he was hoping to get a higher price. I did actually offer him a little bit more but he declined my offer and backed out of the trade (and then got nasty and demanded I refund his sellers fee). I've never experienced this behaviour on any auction platform, but the seller seems to think this is business as usual. He accused me of "not having much experience (...) with trademe". Which is true -- I've only used the platform a couple times to buy things previously. But if he had a minimum price in mind, I would have thou...
