Buyer made offer and need to contact after offer expired
AnsweredHi, Can someone advise me how to contact a buyer.
We had a buyer that offered to buy our car at the time we thought it was low. Now after no other interest I would like to go back and contact this buyer and am unable to. Does anyone know how to make contact in this situation.
Also am I able to offer fixed price offer prior to close of auction?
We are getting desperate and need to sell our car.
Any advice appreciated.

Hello Lee. No, and no.
You can't directly contact an offer buyer if the offer has closed. You can't do a FPO on a currently running auction. However if it has no bids you can add a buynow price if you want. If you don't already have a buynow price loaded, watchers will be notified you have done so. So if you make the buynow price the same as the original offer there is a chance that person will see it. If they are still watching the auction that is.

Hi again,
I am unable to add a buy now because I have a price listed on the vehicle. Does this mean that I have to start another advertisement. I have already paid $360 for the current ad.
If I do another advertisement the buy now wont reach the current watchers?

Kia Ora Lee,
Yes! you would have to start a new Ad to change the Listing Type. - No! Listing a New Ad doesn't bring your watchers over from a prior Ad. - You would need to talk with TradeMe staff to see if they will help you with the cost of starting a New Listing Type.
How long ago was this Offer you declined made? - It is possible the Member who made the original offer may come back with a New Offer or 1 of your existing watchers may make an offer or purchase. - If you know the Member name of the Original offer you could see if they have any Listings in which you could place a message letting them know if they are genuine you would like to accept another offer around the same price Or you could place a Seller comment - Open to all Offers, please reapply - encouraging watchers to come back to you - Cheers.
