combined shipping mistake

It takes but a couple of clicks for a seller to refund you any shipping overcharge via Ping. If the seller is In Trade, Trademe charges the suceess fee including the shipping price, but when issuing a refund via Ping, the success fee part is also automatically refunded to them so they are in no way out of pocket. This last part changed recently, so maybe that seller is not aware.

As a seller, I often put through refunds for overpaid shipping using Ping. It takes a few seconds to sort it out and is no trouble at all. If the seller has already sent your items in two separate parcels, then fair enough. Otherwise they should be providing you with a refund.

I would contact them once your items arrive and if sent together, ask again for a refund. I would say something along the lines of ….I would be grateful if you could reconsider your decision not to refund me for the overpaid shipping. I appreciate that the error was initially mine and that you have offered free shipping on my next trade. However, I would prefer a refund on this trade and I am aware that providing a refund via Ping is a simple and easy solution. I would like to be able to resolve this matter with you personally rather than simply resorting to placing negative feedback on our trade. Please get in touch. Kind regards etc

I always refund buyer if they have paid for shipping twice. I have also pulled up Sellers on this too when I buy something, especially if they send it all in one parcel. Seller is being very un helpful.
