Ping refund, how long?

Mone, it takes 2 seconds for a seller to refund you via Ping and it is the seller that does it. Refunds are made to the original payment method used by the buyer. If you paid from your Ping account, the money then shows instantly in your Ping account to spend on something else on Trademe, or withdraw to your bank acc. If you used a card or your bank acc via Ping, then the normal bank processing times will apply, but the details will show in your Ping transactions page.

As far as the dispute resolution process, that can takes months. If you pop dispute resolution in the search box up top you will find some other posts with common timelines.

Thanks. Yeah i was told by TM that seller has to do the Ping refund by logging into TM. But have not heard from seller since early January. So waiting dispute investigation from TM

Check your Bank statement for the refund - Ping Refunds are made back into the same card the purchase was made from, you won't see the money in your Ping account unless your payment was from your Ping account though your Ping Transaction List will show if the refund has been made.

S, Refunds are made to the original payment method used by the buyer. So, if they used a card then yes, it does go through Ping to the card or bank account, but if paid from the Ping account, it goes to the buyers Ping account to be withdrawn or used for other purchases.

How long does it take to get the ping refund back on the credit card used to pay for the purchase? Seller did ping refund yesterday but the refund is not showing back on my credit card yet, and there is no money in my ping acc. Says $0 in ping acc. Where has the refunded money gone?

It can take 3 - 5 days for the Ping payment to appear in your card used due to your Banks processing times, this payment is credited straight back to the account it was paid from rather than coming into TradeMe first However the TradeMe ledger records the transaction which took place from your Seller refunding & you would normally be sent an Email from TradeMe confirming that your Seller has processed the refund. - Keep your eye on your Bank card account used over the next few days. - Cheers.
