Hi You can not delete a question. You can either not answer it or ask Trade Me to se of they will remove the question.

Stephen, you can't delete the question yourself, but Trademe can. Don't answer the question as then it will be available for everyone to see, but use the Community watch link on the auction, choose an appropriate topic eg Something is not appropriate or offensive, and write, This is MY auction. The question asker is trying to sabotage my auction. Can you please remove the question.

Kia Ora Stephen,
When is your listing due to expire? - Expired Listings now show all questions including unanswered - if it is due to expire in the next few days and being the wknd it will be quicker to get this question removed if you contact TM staff through "Live Chat" - Cheers.

A few options Pal (I hate it when people troll, so been down this road a few times sadly).
A) You could just ignore it and not answer, (It will show at the end of the auction however)
B) Answer it - either with a dot (like this .) which will clear it - or if you can think of some witty answer that belittles them and makes them look stoopid then do it, just put them onto your blacklist first, so you end the conversation and have the last word. (This can be the most satisfying way of dealing with it!)
C) Reach out to live chat - Like S has suggested. To be fair, this is a proper good option.
D) Community Watch - At the bottom of your listing will be a little sheriffs badge, hit that and follow the prompts, select the options for Q and A and say something like this " Hi there - I am reporting my own listing. Another member is using the Q&A to Sabotage/Troll my auction, can you remove the question please? Perhaps also a polite but firm email from the Trust and Safety team might deter the member from doing this to other sellers in the future."
The thing is Stephen, you are not alone buddy, lots of us have to deal with this crap, some buyers seem to think that Trade Me is Facebook or Twitter (X) and try to use it as a debating platform, the other problem that I think happens, is that people are sitting at home surfing Trade Me while they are drunk or high (or both!) and say things that they would never dream of saying in real life.
Good luck in getting this sorted pal!
