Repetitive unreliable buyers should be removed from Trade Me
AnsweredI have unfortunately had a string of unreliable buyers who dont pickup and dont pay. Their communication is typically terrible.
Looking at the feedback from of these buyers I often see 20+ negative feedback for the same problem that I experienced, but these people keep trading and keep wasting the time of others.
Trademe please explain how these people allowed to continue on the site? It must be wasting your time and money as well.

I have had a theory for a long time, I don’t think Trade Me kick these accounts anymore, because when they do, the people just make a new Gmail account, and then use that to make a fresh TMe account and they start all over again, at least with that account still active, sellers can see the horror stories and make their own decision about removing bids or not.
I do see your frustration, there is no justice, you have had your time and efforts wasted, just red face, put on to blacklist, and hopefully you get a better price after you re list

Hi Justin. What was the response from Trade Me when you reported this member to them?
People sometimes assume Trade Me will somehow automatically know about these people. They don't always. They need to be made aware.
Once reported they do give them some time to make things right. So you might not see immediate obvious action. Their account can still be live but there could be restrictions placed on them that we can't see.

Kia ora Justin. Thanks for contributing. I understand it's disappointing and frustrating when you have a trade with someone who doesn't appear to take the process seriously. I would urge you to always report that to us, and we will take the appropriate action. Sometimes that won't always be an all-out ban - there are other steps we take that can't always be seen.
