How do I refund a payment received through Ping?

Antony, I use the Desktop site so I do mine by clicking the Payment details and refunds link in my sold items page.

Then once on the Payment details you have an Issue Refund link to click

 Then another page with a box to change the amount of refund, or refund in full like this...

first time iv ever been paid with ping. i usually untick that payment option.

the funds have already been paid out from ping into my bank account so i guess ill have to transfer it back into my tradme account and go from there and hope that catches the ping refund to be made.

waiting for buyer whom ive given possible solutions, to contact me etc.

i like that the success fee repay gets sorted like that.

When you do the refund your are given options on how to pay it, just like when you buy something with Ping. You can use your Ping balance or a card, or your bank acc. Basically, anything you have set up with Ping already.

i think the buyer used a credit card to buy, so im guessing that the refund will go back to that origin of payment.

No worries. When you refund a buyer the money just goes in to their Ping account on Trademe not to whatever method they used to fund the transaction initially. They can either use that money to buy things, or they can withdraw it to their bank acc.

Gosh I didn't realise there had been a change in refunds, I've always had these paid into whichever card I used to pay Ping from. - I've never set up a Bank acct on TM and am not wanting to either atmo' - when did this change that the refund sits in your Ping account come in?

Ah yes, I see it does go back to the payment method used. Might have been thinking about Pay Now.
