Buyer didn't read the listing properly..is unhappy with item
AnsweredSo I recently had a buyer buy what they assumed was cards when it was a book by the same person. Anyway they have received the book and said it wasn't what they were expecting and they aren't happy. Looking back,my listing mentioned it was a book and not the cards so the buyer is in the wrong. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Any advice? Thank you

Kia Ora Paul,
Sorry to read that has happened to you,
As long as your Listing accurately stated and showed the item for what it is there is no onus on you to refund Or except a return of the item for a change of mind / incorrect purchase here. The Buyer can on sell if they choose to. - Cheers.

Hi Paul. As S says it doesn't sound like there is any obligation on you here. Seems strange though that a buyer would expect cards rather than a book. Was the photo accurate? Was it in the correct category?

Sellers don't have to refund for people who have changed their minds.
Assuming you had decent photo's, clear title, correct category, and there was nothing misleading in the description, then this is their problem to solve not yours, the best thing your buyer can do is relist it an move it on themselves, or donate it to their local charity shop, not your problem Paul.
But do go and review your original advert and photo's if there is anyway that they legitimately could have been confused, then you should do a refund, including shipping costs.
