Sold item, buyer pulled out and Trademe declined the success fee refund
AnsweredI sold an item and the winning bidder emailed me to say they had made a mistake and would not complete the sale. I placed negative feedback on the buyer and requested a success fee refund. I now see that the buyer has placed retaliatory feedback and my success fee refund has been declined with no communication from Trademe. How do I get this retaliatory feedback removed and the success fee I have paid refunded?

Kia Ora Mike,
Sorry to read that,
TradeMe will have contacted your Buyer on receiving your Success fee refund application in an attempt to get the Buyer to follow through with the Trade - if this is Not what is happening you need to go back to TM with the facts - If TM has emailed you, respond to that email and attach a copy of all correspondence with your Buyer as evidence they have pulled out of the Trade. - At the sane time you can file a Feedback dispute report on the basis of retaliation from your Buyer. - File a report
If you are unable to reply to an email from TM you can contact a staff member via their "Live Chat" facility - Once you've selected the Contact us Chat Tab you need to give the landing page a count of 15+ seconds for the Chat Tab to Pop up in blue at the bottom right of your screen, there is a slight delay in this appearing.
All the Best - Cheers

Yes, that would be an irritating scenario! The success fee email is an automated one and it looks like the buyer chose the auto option to say I want to go ahead with the trade? So, you received the auto email for decline on the basis of what the buyer chose.
S is spot on to suggest live chat to sort it.

Sorry for late email, we just came back from holidays and saw trade me charged success fee.
We sold dinning table with chairs on 18th Nov 2023 buyer and seller pickup time did not matched and buyer did not go through the sale. They paid us money which we returned full amount.
Trade me charges me fee and they put negative feedback.
Can you please resolve this asap.

Kia Ora Navpreet,
This is the Community Forum page you are in, we are Members just like you, we are not TradeMe staff. - This Forum is in place for all Members to Help each other where we can.
As your Trade has gone over the 40 days of the Listing closing in which time you can apply online for your success fee refund you can Contact TM Staff - through this form.
For Feedback Dispute you will want to complete this report - though it may pay to check the Help section Feedback policy first - TradeMe don't remove feedback if it is in line with their policy.
All the Best - Cheers.
