NZ Post - Scanned Delivered, not delivered
Is anyone else noticing an increase in NZ Post parcels being scanned as delivered well before they actually are? I've had about four (that I know of) this year. One said delivered early in the morning but wasn't delivered until late in the evening. Another was delivered the day after the claimed delivery. One was scanned delivered twice with another update in between and only the second delivery was the actual delivery. I know at least instance was a misdelivery - I lodged a claim with NZ post who said they'd misdelivered, recovered the parcel and were now delivering but another week passed at which point they said they'd lost the parcel again and would have to refund.
I just had a frustrated customer get in touch as their courier parcel had only just arrived after a week and a half. The tracking had shown it as delivered on the 5th of July so I had thought everything was fine. She clearly hadn't looked at the tracking details herself (though I had e-mailed them to her when I let her know the parcel was sent) and it seems the parcel just arrived today (Sunday).
There may be more. These are just instances where I'd been in touch with the customer regarding late delivery, or received complaints.
I realize some may be misdelivery but I wonder if some couriers are cutting corners and scanning everything as delivered when they pick it up from the depot or something strange?

There were some strange instances like that for me. But that was around things like covid and Black Friday when temps were drafted in. Some didn't have scanners so items were delivered and then marked as such later or before delivery.
For the one that was delivered today on Sunday, are you sure that doesn't just mean the receiver went out today and thought. Oh I better check the letterbox......

It could be. She was a bit annoyed by the whole thing and not really answering questions. Which is why I'm so frustrated by the whole thing as it would have been better to deal with it before her patience had become so thin but I was only advised about the problem now and the delivery tag misled me.
I know Sunday delivery isn't meant to be a thing but have had it happen at least once (confirmed) after lodging a claim. My last courier said he sometimes delivered on Sunday morning just to make up all the parcels he couldn't get to during the week and Saturday (early covid days).0 -
S Community SuperuserKia Ora All,Interestingly similar but different I have several experiences with Aramex tracking stating parcel On board with courier for delivery - delivery due same day date is given, staying home to receive has turned into a 2 day wait rather than same day and I have had a courier knock on my door around 8:30pm on a week day evening delivering a parcel - I wonder which/if other courier companies are showing a difference within their tracking system process and whether or not this is only relating to the BAC parcels? - Cheers.0
